Carechem 24

is a non-stop emergency telephone service, covering all the world (and corresponding languages),  24-hour, 365-day-a-year, focused on events with spillage of dangerous chemicals.

More and more transporters, particularly in the US and western Europe and especially in the air and combined transportation, necessarily require a covenanted non-stop emergency service for transport of dangerous goods; according to the requirements of the new chemical legislation we can only presume its spreading.

 

CARECHEM 24 International offers:

  • emergency telephone number for carriers and transporters of the dangerous goods all over the world, that may be (or must be) writter into the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Transport emergency cards and other transport documents, on the packages, tanks and all the other important places (important in case of an emergency)

  • expert evaluation of the emergency situation in various languages (including Czech), particularly assessment of the chemical and medical risk and the necessary actions.

 

CARECHEM 24 International provides quick and accurate information about the recommended actions in case of emergency, that comprises:

  • initial assessment of the risk for personnel

  • specification of the protective equipment

  • consideration of possible danger to the public

  • recommendations for mitigation of possible damage

  • evaluation of necessity of calling the experts in disposal of the accident (NCEC / Carechem 24 provides you with the recommended contacts for disposal of the accident)

 

How does it work with Carechem 24 International:

  • the contractor of the Carechem 24 service evaluates, in advance, the planned routes and means of transport of the  dangerous chemicals, and the languages that are to be covered with the service (the price/year is set according to the transportation type, number of countries and languages)

  • before the transport the contractor sends to the Carechem 24 center his MSDS, eventually other information about transported chemicals; in English, ev. other relevant languages

  • in case of an accident the call is directed to the multilingual center of the Carechem 24, where the operator notes the name, language and the grade of the caller, the type of the accident and the number of the caller

  • then the call is redirected to a three-way telephone communication with emergency center NCEC, that leads the conversation and provides advice, the operator then translates them into the language of the caller. At the end of the call the important question is asked, whether the caller understood all the information

  • in case of need the three-way call can be used multiple times during one accident

  • after the call (calls) the contractor receives the report of the action

 

Terms of use

One-year contract with Carechem 24 usually covers 5 incidents, but it is possible to prepay more. Multiple telephone calls during one accident are considered as one accident. Exceeding the year limit of accidents means you have to pay an extra fee. The Carechem 24 service cannot be used (not even by a single application) by companies without a proper contract with Carechem.
